The never ending pursuit of happiness. IM ON IT!
Now I get it! Happiness is the pursuit of hapiness, not the goal it self. (You already knew that one righ? Yada yada yada, but listen) Your goal/s will always change and the “happiness” imagined will always, always be just around the corner.
Maby you already been through this a couple times. When you acheived something that was really important to you (big or small), as soon as its was over, you directly started to think about something else. It’s the hunting we want.
AAAAAND!! Pleasure does not equal happiness. Even if pleasure in some degree is important (money, popularity, good looks, parties, whatever), and gets us of our ass to actually do something, it does not make you truly happy in the long run. It’s pursuing the best version of your self as possible that will. Your true self. Mistaking pleasure for being happy will only make you miserable in the end. Your values, what you think is important, what imprint you want to leave after your self, the experiences you want to have. That is the “dream” the “goal” of life. I get it, I get it.
I really get it now.
